| Old West Leather Botas (aka Leggings) Every day in the sweltering heat, wearing botas gave the American cowboy and Mexican vaquero a huge advantage over chaps. Much lighter weight than chaps, these leather botas ~ also known as leggings ~ were worn just below the knee to protect the lower leg during the hard day's work.
Perfect for cowboy, vaquero, scout, Indian or mountain-man impressions. These legging are hand-made by one of the best leather crafter's of today. Made by PURDY GEAR in tan colored cowhide, with two large hand-rolled leather buttons on each leg and strap and buckle on the top for a secure and proper fit. Festooned with scalloped edges and fine hand cut fringe. Note: Leather button sides are worn on outside of leg to determine left v. right legging.
With wear, your botas will take on an authentic, aged look. At this price, they are not returnable for any reason. |
