| River Junction's seamstress-made trousers are typical of those worn from the 1860s through the turn of the century. Men's styles did not change much in the way of pants during this time. You'll find that these would have been worn by soldiers, ranch hands, ranch owners, trappers, traders and town folks alike.
About the only thing that sets one apart from the other would be the type and pattern of material used. The $5 price reduction is offered on the last pair of these trousers in size 42 in the last of our Navy striped dress wool fabric. Wearing these trousers in this last of fabrics Navy stripe dress wool fabric will give you a classic and very authentic look.
Our SASS customer Dead Eye Ry from Alberta, Canada writes us: "Just a note to say "great job"!! I ordered a couple pair of your superbly unique wool trousers & also a vest to match one of the pairs of pants. Yes, they took some time to make but were worth the wait! To say I am both pleased & impressed would be an understatement. Your seamstresses deserve kudos, so request you pass this along to them. I am so pleased with the quality, fit & finish that I have decided they are simply too nice to be relegated to my reenactor wardrobe & instead will see duty "at the office" on the 49th floor of Canada's largest oil company. I regret not also ordering the matching coat now... I will be proud to wear them and most certainly will let people know the name of my distinctive tailor! Please keep up the good work--your product line is wonderful. My compliments & best wishes for a prosperous New Year."
Two front pockets are the western style made to keep things in the pocket while you are a' horse. The right-hand back pocket has a button closing. Has a back strap with a buckle to aid in your perfect fit. There are suspender buttons on the waistband and a five-button fly. We recommend you measure your waist at your belly button level and select that measurement as your waist size.
Our customer Patrick from Wisconsin, USA writes to us: "I have nothing but great things to say about River Junction. I was in a bind, and needed some Victorian age clothing [Victorian Shirt, Riverboat Gambler's Vest, Elegant Puff Tie, Dress Gloves, Dress Wool Suspender Pants] for a gig I was doing on Sunday, but couldn't free up funds until Wednesday. Every other place I contacted could not get anything done for at least 2 weeks. Rogeta and the staff gathered up what I needed, stalled the UPS driver and got it all shipped out that same day, delivered to my doorstep by Friday. From helping me find the right colors and clothing, to amazing efforts in getting everything to me, to looking GREAT for the show, everything they did was stellar!" |
