SOLD Remington 1875 Model, .44 cal.
Remington 1875 Model, .44cal. 5 5/8" Barrel, no lanyard ring, Re-nickel, original Rosewood grips.
Serial Number: 1137
Years of Manufacture: from 1875 to 1889
Caliber: .44 Remington
Action Type: Single Action Revolver
Markings: The top of the barrel is marked "E. Remington & Sons. Ilion N.Y. U.S.A". The left side of the frame is marked "44". The serial number is under the left grip.
Barrel Length: 5 5/8"
Sights : The gun is mounted with original sights; a fixed blade front sight and a top-strap-integral rear sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The Grips are 2 piece smooth rose wood. The grips are very good, with  no splits or cracks. The stocks show appropriate aging. The stocks rate about fine overall condition.
Type of Finish: Nickel
Finish Originality: Professionally Re-nickeled.
Bore Condition: The bore is clean with strong rifling. There is very moderate erosion throughout the entire length.
Overall Condition: This gun retains about 90% of its metal finish.   Overall, this gun rates in about very good as refinished condition.
Mechanics: The action functions well and locks up very very tight.

Our Assessment: This is a beautiful refinished revolver. The markings are very visible, the grips very good and original and the action is tight.
