HOW TO MEASURE.....

. . . . . WHEN ORDERING GARMENT

SLEEVE LENGTH:

With arm raised level with shoulder, bend forearm towards face so that your thumb is pointed toward and level with your chin. Start tape level with raised arm at exact middle of the back between the shoulder blades. From the middle of back, around elbow to one inch past the wrist joint. Number of inches is your sleeve length. For the mutton sleeve we need an under arm measurement. From the armpit to the wrist.

CHEST/BUST:
Measure around the fullest part of the chest at nipple level. A bra size is not an accurate measurement. Measure over any under garments you plan to wear.

WAIST:
Measure around your natural waist - above hip bone and usually where your "belly button" is. Jeans are often worn as hip huggers and is not your waist.

NECK :
Measure around the base of neck.

HIPS:
This is the widest part of your hip, usually 7-9" below waist.

WIDTH OF BACK:
Measure across back from shoulder seam three inches down from the base of the neck.

NAPE OF NECK TO WAIST:
The nape of your neck is the large bump in the center of your backbone at the base of the neck. Measure from this to your natural waist.

INSEAM/OUTSEAM:
Measure from the crotch to bottom of ankle bone, or from waist to bottom of ankle bone.

Measurement in inches around the largest part of the head with tape above brow ridges. Convert to hat size using the chart below.

. . . . WHEN ORDERING FOOTWEAR

Use your street shoe size. Men's shoes average D width only. Shoes run true to size. To measure, in sitting position place left foot on ruler with heal at 0 inches mark. Length of foot is gauged by reading inch mark directly below longest toe. If in doubt, we will fit, send us a tracing of your foot.

ALTERATIONS

~We can make your skirt or sleeve length longer or shorter for an additional $20 for change in skirt length and $15 for change in sleeve length. Altered garments are not returnable.
~Pant hems. We make trousers one length - 36 in. We do not hem pants to length as we feel they need to be tried on for hemming. Unlike jeans, they are worn higher at the natural waist which affects the inseam. Pants can be ordered longer that 36 in. for a $10 charge.
