Sometimes called a range coat, this garment came into existence prior to the Civil War, when men traveled long distances on horseback or by stage coach. The tail is split to the waist in back for horseback riding. It has two large waistpockets and big black buttons. Comes in 100% oatmeal colored linen or 10 oz. canvas in white, black, brown, dark tan or light tan. 58"Length - ( about mid-calf on a man of average height.)
