TRANSITIONAL HOLSTER
These holsters must be wet fit for best results. They are designed for a very snug fit. They are designed to trap the trigger guard of the revolver under the back trigger guard curve of the holster as was done on the original. See enlargement.
For 58 Remington, 51 Navy, 61 Navy, 60 Army or Colt S.A. and many conversions.
The Remington with its tall front site is somewhat difficult to fit. Wet forming it and using a broom stick handle to stretch and shape the barrel area is a big help.
Fits 7 1/2 and 8 inch barrels. $39.95 |

How
to treat your leather After you receive your
holster it's important to "shape" the holster to your gun. Soak the
holster in a bucket of warm water for about 3 seconds then place your well oiled
gun in a bread bag and insert in holster. Now using your thumbs work the leather
around and over your gun pressing firmly into all bumps and valleys. The more
you work it the better it will look. Then remove your gun and bread bag and allow
to dry thoroughly about 24 to 48 hours. DO NOT dry the holster with the gun in
it. A light oiling on the inside and outside may be necessary if the leather is
a little on the dry side. You can use neatsfoot oil, mink oil, snow seal any number
of leather oil treatments. |
