Late 1890's practical promenade suit features a boned jacket and is fully lined, what looks like a tucked collar and shirt is only a 'front'. The skirt is a classic seven gored walking skirt so often seen in thousands of photographs from the turn of the century. $15.00

FANCY PROMENADE SUIT >

The jacket is the familiar bolero but instead of lapels soft curves enriched with a wide border overlap the front. Piping trims the jacket and cuffs. The jacket is boned and completely lined. The skirt is a typical example of a five gored walking skirt with a bias flounce, the seam joining the flounce and the gore is hidden by black taffeta french curves edged with braid. $17.00

< 1890 BALL GOWN

The upper arm and shoulder are caressed with a chantilly galoon held in place with satin moire ribbons gathered into a bow. The skirt consists of a weighted foundation skirt, an over skirt and a final overlay of chantilly lace. All layers are flounced and adorned with fru fru. In the hush of silence created by your presence a soft sound similar to the rustling of leaves will be discreetly heard as you enter the ballroom. $27.00

1880 victorian hour glass corset. The hour glass corset slims the entire waist area and supports the bust. The stays are on the outside of the victorian corset because the whale bone when used had a thickness which was uncomfortable when the corset was tightened. Victorian corset pattern $9.00

< PETTICOAT

This petticoat was worn directly under the skirt, and was generally made of rustle taffeta or polished lawn. The line of the material adds needed structure to the skirt and the sweep created by two large pleats at the center back gives a drape and swing to the skirt which adds grace to your movements. $15.00
