EARLY LEFT HAND "H.H. HEISER" HOLSTER. This holster takes a Colt 1873 or clone in 4 3/4, barrel length. This is a single loop buckled holster. A, H. H. Heiser model #458 LEFT Side Holster in very good condition. No loose stitching, no scratches, and a nice even rich patina. Here I show my Colt Model 1873, 4 3/4 inch Single Action revolver, it fits perfectly. A unique addition suitable for the finest collection. As pointed out in the "Packing Iron Book" on page 183 this holster features the narrow "quick draw belt loop that avoids interference of the holster in the grasping of the revolver grip......" Other features include more hammer and trigger guard exposure and a sewn on belt type pouch loop. The sewn on pouch loop is a very rare feature on Heiser Holsters.
The Hermann H. Heiser Manufacturing Co. made this beautiful holster from Premium Skirting Leather. This holster is properly marked with the H. H. Heiser Denver Colo. Trademark in an Oval makers mark, which dates this holster from 1910. You will note it has no safety strap as many Heiser holsters have, giving it the feel and appearance of an early 20th, century holster.
The leather is fully alive and will provide a century of wear ready to use. My revolvers are not included.
