Antique gold-filled Victorian slider watch chain with mother-of-pearl horse head fob. This lovely antique Victorian double-strand watch chain with fob is yellow gold-filled with the chains being graduated to drape gracefully. The end bits and slide are delicately shaped and remain bright. It measures 11" long and the slide is 1/2" wide.
It is not marked but I believe it is gold filled. It is a very cool old chain and shows very little wear. It is adorned by a figural fob in the shape of a horse's head made of mother-of-pearl. The fob has been nicely carved - you can clearly see the horse's mane and details on its mouth and nostrils. The eyes of the horse are glass beads with a black dot for the pupil. The fob measures 1 1/2 inches long.
