Antique Spyglass Telescope Marked on the first draw SWIFT imprinted over the target symbol. Below that it is marked 15 X SCHOONER. Maybe these markings indicate that it was intended as a spotting scope for shooting or for nautical use. Vintage 1800s Telescope/Spyglass. The telescope measures 17 1/4 inches fully extended; it is 7 inches closed and the barrel circumference is 4 3/4 inches. The telescopes barrel is wrapped in leather and hand-sewn together, which is in excellent condition with no signs of wear. This telescope has the brass sliding eyepiece that is used for the eye lens cover. It is in good working order, moves freely. There are no chips, cracks or scratches in either part of the lens. There are no dents in the barrel or the tubing's of the telescope. This telescope is from the 19th century. It appears to be in excellent condition for its age, it does open and close smoothly. Perfect for a spotting scope.
