Model 1849 Pocket Revolver .31 caliber percussion, 5 shot single action revolver, 4" octagon barrel, with loading lever Weight = 24 ounces. Cylinder engraving is no longer visible. Markings on barrel in one line -ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY U S America-. The revolver completely plumb brown. The action works as it should and locks up very tight. The bore has strong rifling showing pitting. The cylinder shows no drag marks and rotates and indexes properly. The barrel, frame, trigger guard and back strap serial number is #280355. The cylinder serial number is #204729. The grips have no cracks. The toe of the left grip has a chip off of it.
