Manufactured from 1860 to 1873, serial number range from 1 to about 20000.
Markings: The top of the barrel is marked "MANUFACTURED BY REMINGTONS ILION N.Y.". The left side of the barrel is marked "45 Colt.". Under the barrel marked with the serial number.
Sights: The gun is mounted with original sights; an adjustable for windage post front sight and a top-strap-integral rear sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock(s) is/are checkered hard rubber grips. The grips are exceptionally good, with no splits or cracks. The stocks rate about fine overall condition.
Type of Finish: Blue
Finish Originality: mostly smooth gray, with traces of blue.
Bore Condition: Is clean with strong rifling. There is moderate erosion throughout the entire length.
Overall Condition: This gun retains about 10% of its metal finish with no rust. There no edge wear. The Screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear, though a bit light at the makers name. Overall, this gun rates in about excellent with gray finish.
Mechanics: The action functions well and locks up without any movement after the trigger is pulled. The original cylinder pin is missing and has been replaced with a nail that does not stay in place with out care.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Comes in original partitioned cardboard box with combination ball starter and cleaning rod, nipple pick, bullet mold, and powder flask. Box lid is collapsed.
