The bore has remarkably strong deep rifling. Works, but needs to be cocked with authority to make it lock up. This is the type of gun that great grandma would carry in her muff to discourage mashers and muggers in the 1880s. Or would serve equally as well as a vest pocket gun for a gent. These spur trigger revolvers were made as "hideout" guns for men and women alike in all walks of life,the prostitutes of the Old West found them to be ideal guns for their self-protection and could be had at low cost. This little gun has had a rough life and was probably played with by kids. The surface is completely covered with many tiny dings.
