z Sold ~ Capt. Jack Spur Trigger Revolver .22 Caliber

.22 short rimfire caliber, 7 shot single action revolver, spur trigger, solid frame with sideplate, 2 1/4" round barrel, plain cylinder, smooth brown patina through out. 

small production.  A neat revolver by Hopkins and Allen.  Top strap is marked CAPT. JACK PAT. MAR. 23 1871 in two lines.  Frame, barrel and cylinder have matching serial numbers.  No finish remains and the revolver is now smooth brown areas. Action work correctly.  The bore shows strong rifling and would probably shoot just fine with CB caps.  Grips are completely missing.

 

This is the type of gun that great grandma would carry in her muff to discourage mashers and muggers in the 1880s. Or would serve equally as well as a vest pocket gun for a gent.
