Here is a very nice 5 shot, top break double action revolver in 38 center fire SMITH & WESSON caliber made by IVER JOHNSON. This one is in very good condition, retaining 40% original blue finish. The grips are perfect with no chips or cracks, action is like new and markings are all sharp and clear. The bore and cylinder are very good with only miner pitting and strong rifling. Model 1, First Model, first variation Single top latch, 100'000 were manufactured in 1895 and 1896. The serial number is 96642. Marked on the top of the barrel rib is "IVER JOHNSON'S ARMS & CYCLE WORKS FITCHBURG. MASS.U.S.A. The action is perfect, with a 6" barrel.
