z Sold ~ Antique Whiskey Flask

A fine 19th century American repousse pewter silver plated flask, circa 1860 Civil War era. A bulbous oval form with a weighty feel in the hand. It is missing the lid and someone has replaced it with a cork. The rich floral repousse is in very good shape, not caved in as so many of these pewter flasks are. The back does show some dents and silver wear. SIZE: 6 1/2Ó Height x 3 1/4" Width. x 1" Thickness. CONDITION: normal wear consistent with age, overall clean and in good condition. MARKINGS: Repousse designs. No manufactures marking present.
