It includes accurate historical data concerning early Colonial gunsmiths and is profusely illustrated with photos of early rifles and pistols. This third edition includes a chapter on Kentucky pistols which is missing in the earlier editions. More recent scholarship has suggested the name should be Pennsylvania Rifle rather than Kentucky since so many were made by Pennsylvania gunsmiths who are noted in this book. Alphabetical list of makers and their location when known. Index. Excellent clean crisp and tight copy of this great book about the " Kentucky"/ Pennsylvania Rifle.
