Description

American Indian brain-tanned buckskin Beaded Gauntlet Gloves.  The gauntlet beading was done by stitching and sewing down one bead at a time, a task that takes a lot of tedious work to complete.  All seams are fully welted, again a sign of the best in craftsmanship.

I believe these gauntlets were originally made in the 19th century for a member of the Cavalry.  That is why you see the yellow chevron with a blue border.  The gauntlet is calico lined and fully fringed.  They are still soft and well taken care of, and there are may be only a total 6 or 7 beads missing.  There are no rips or tears, and all beads are tight.

These are totally wearable and would lend great credibility to any Indian War cavalry soldier or scout.  Fits large or medium-sized man's hand.
