This is a strong example of the S&W .32 caliber Model 1-1/2 Single Action Revolver. Standard 3" barrel with five-shot cylinder, nickel finish, and early style checkered hard rubber grips. The .32 caliber Model 1-1/2 SA was produced from 1878-1892 with a total production of just over 97,000. The serial number is in the 11,000 range. It was likely mf'd during the early 1880's but an exact date can be obtained by ordering a factory research letter from Smith and Wesson. Barrel has numerous patent dates ranging from 1865-1877. See photo.
