"Alamo-Ranger" Double Action Revolver. Cal. .38 special, 5¼" Barrel. A double-action copy of the Colt Single Action Army manufactured in Spain, circa 1920-1930. The left side of the frame is marked "Made in Spain" and there are numerous Spanish proofs on the barrel, cylinder, and frame. The top of the barrel is marked "Alamo-Ranger/ 38 Special S&W Ctgs." The finish on the frame is about worn off, but the finish on the cylinder, barrel, and trigger group show 35% blue remaining. The original grips are intact with no chips or cracks. The bore is bright with no pitting and very strong rifling. An excellent copy of the venerable Colt SAA. and mechanically perfect and lock up is tight.
