Description

First introduced by Dixie in 1978, this rifle is recognized as one of the finest reproduction muzzleloaders ever made. We are truly sorry that they are no longer offored by Dixie. Japanese Cherry with satin finish. Medium reddish-brown stain. 56 ¼” length with a 3 ½” drop and a 13 ¾” trigger pull. Barrel is .50 caliber, browned, 41 ½” octagon. Front sight – 3/8” dovetail, brass base w/silver blade. Rear sight - 5/8” dovetail, browned steel, open, buckhorn style. Flintlock – 5/8” to ¾” size flint. Features browned steel furniture – double set/double phase triggers. 57” overall length and weighs 9 ¼” lbs. Manufactured by Miroku/Japan.
Excellent condition Left Hand Percussion Dixie Gun Works Tennessee Mountain Rifle.  The barrel has deep rifling a true round ball shooter. Bore shows no signs of wear or pitting. No rust or damage to wood other than very light handling marks. All hardware is iron : butt plate, pipe thimbles that holds ram rod. Front sight looks like nickle silver. There is a grease hole in stock doesn't look like ever been used.
