Colt Model 1862 Pocket - Breechloading cartridge revolver - (aka “cartridge conversion) - .38 centerfire; 3.5” round barrel. - Condition is very good. - Crisp grip frame retains strong traces of nickel on barrel & frame. Cylinder shows strong cylinder scene throughout. Other markings excellent including matching serial numbers. Mechanically perfect, very crisp and locks up tight. Fine grips with just a few usage marks & 97% varnish. - s/n 317748. This old Colt has the look. Most of these nickle finished guns went West as they held up better than the blue guns in the rugged climate.. All the nickle has that cloudy untouched patina you just love to see. A really handsome belly gun.These are hard to find in CENTERFIRE. I believe you could shoot this one with blackpowder loads. The bore has strong bright rifling.
