z Sold Price Reduced Colt 1st Model Dragoon New in the box. 3nd Generation

This 1st Model Colt Dragoon in .44 black powder revolver was manufactured in 1995. Serial # 36990. This Dragoon has a 7 1/2" barrel with a blade front sight and notched hammer for the rear sight. The cylinder is fully engraved with scenes of Dragoons in battle with Indians and marked "COLT'S PATENT". The frame and hammer shows brilliant case colors. The barrel and cylinder have a high polished deep luster blue. The back strap and trigger guard are silver plated. In Dennis Russell's book, this silver plate, feature is described as scarce and not listed in the the Colt catalog. The grips are varnished with a wonderful fiddle back grain in the wood. This Dragoon remains in excellent, unfired condition. All original paper work, and the silver box and over box are included.
