This is the type of cavalry carbine most commonly used in the American Civil War. It takes hand rolled 54. Cal. paper cartridges which are easy and cheap to make! This breech loading sharps is in beautiful condition,The bore is extremely clean! I seriously doubt it has ever been fired.
