z Sold ~ Remington Model 1889 SxS Hammer shotgun in 12 gauge.

Here is a Remington Model 1889,  SxS Hammer shotgun in 12 Ga. This 1889 has 32" Damascus twist barrels. Length-of-Pull is 14". By it’s serial number (32909) this was an early gun manufactured prior to 1898. The 1889 is a very robust shotgun and this  one is in good condition and is mechanically sound. This is a fun to shoot, we recommend that you use ammo from a re-loader that loads to 19th century specifications. The original Damascus barrel has developed into a nice brown patina. There are a several scratches in the wood but no cracks or chips. There are are a couple of small dents in the bore that will not effect shooting. The bores show typical black powder pitting.  The hard rubber butt plate is very good with no chips or cracks.
