Description

This is an antique holster made by Clark Saddlery of Portland,Oregon. John Clark was a wholesale suppler to the saddle and harness trade. He was in business from the 1870s into the 1920s. To see his catalog CLICK HERE https://archive.org/stream/cataofjohn00unse#page/n0/mode/1up
This is one of his fine holsters and it is in excellent condition, vertically as good as the day it left the shop. This holster is marked with the catalog number "246" on the back and has the "Clark Portland" Logo on the snap. It is a perfectly basket weave stamped pattern with all stitches tight. The leather is fully alive and would give a century of wear. Ready to use or display. This holster will hold a Smith & Wesson Double Action Frontier,  a Smith & Wesson New Model 3, a S&W M&P .38 and a variety of others
