z Sold ~ F series 2nd Gen Colt 51 Navy Serial - 26266

This "F" series 1851 Navy Colt was produced between 1878 to 1982 It has never been fired and comes in the black box with  original papers. The box show shelf wear, but remains intact. It is .36 cal., 7 1/2" octagon barrel, case-hardened frame, loading lever, plunger, and hammer, silver plated backstrap and squareback trigger guard, one-piece varnished walnut grips, and blued barrel and cylinder with engraved naval battle scene.

The serial number of this gun is 26266. This serial number indicates this is a "F" Series and as such has the durable Colt blue finish. This is an as new revolver, with correct markings and stunning finish. Silver is developing some tarnish, that would clean off if you desire. The varnished finished reddish walnut grips in perfect condition, with no handling marks cut-above what is usually found on these revolvers. This 2nd Generation model was produced in 1979. This gun is worthy of the best Colt collection.
