action brass frame revolver with 3 1/4” barrel. Barrel stamped
“WHITNEYVILLE ARMORY, CT. U.S.A./PATENTED MAY, 23, 1871.” 50% blue
and fading nickel showing mellow brass frame through. Excellent grips with all the
varnish remaining. Good bore and chambers. Cocks, rotates and locks up perfectly.
SN 1010 . Very good metal with
no rust or pits. An early Whitneyville quality made SA revolver in original condition and a scarce cartridge revolver - approx.
15,000 made.
