z Sold Original 1800s bowie knife.

Civil War era U(STAR)S Clip-Point Bowie, ca. 1800-1850 No sheath. Overall measuring 15 inch with a 9 1/2 inch clip-point blade (full tang). Buffalo or cow horn grips with steel handle pins and no chips or cracks. Also on one side is a name plate with the name "Aston" very crudely scratched on. On the ricasso is the makers mark "US with a star between the U and the S. The guard is nickel silver and the pommel looks to be silver with much of the silver worn off. The blade showing almost no sharpening. Overall a great original Bowie from the Civil War era.
