Description

Original pre 1900, bunk house made Holster and belt. This double loop holster was likely made from an old saddle fender. Hand cut and hand laced along the main seam. The workmanship is not that of a professional leather worker, but I would say it is not the first holster this cowboy made. A typical Mexican loop style with nickel spots added to this otherwise plain holster. This holster and belt are very reminiscent of early western movie gun leather.  It fits a 1873 Colt Single Action Army with a 5 1/2 inch barrel perfectly. The leather is fully alive and would give another century of service or for displaying with an original Colt  of the same era. The belt is made of two layers of light weight russet colored leather and is completely hand sewn. It has 44 bullet loops that hold .38 Long Colt cartridges or .32 WCF cartridges equally as well. All the bullet loops are tight with all stitching intact. The belt measure 40 inches from the buckle to the center hole. My cartridges and Colt are not included.
