RJT#3671 -

An over-sized, English Sheffield pewter sewing thimble that is meant to be a satirical, shot glass or whiskey glass. There are those that love their whiskey and here’s proof of it! This amusing piece is the perfect gotcha for your stingy drinking buddies. It stands 3” high and is 2 3/4 inches wide at the mouth. The thimble shaped container is hand stamped “Just A Thimble Full” . This is in very good shape with just a little scuffing on the bottom.  The huge thimble-tumbler is marked English Pewter, Sheffield on the bottom. I'd date it to the late 19th century.
