Description

Colt New Service .45 Long Colt Serial#11290 Manufacture in 1904 the seventh year of production. This 7 1/2 inch, long barreled Colt is a standout in any collection. The bore is bright and excellent. The top of the barrel has the Colt two line patent and address markings of "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A., over PAT'D AUG.5.1884 JUNE 5.1900 JULY 4 1905" The left side of the barrel is marked "NEW SERVICE .45 COLT." Colt "VP" proof-mark located on the front end of the trigger guard bow with a single number "3" on the rear section of the trigger guard bow. and a lanyard loop on the bottom of the grip frame.
All matching serial numbers and mechanically perfect.
This early New Service shows 95% original blue. The grips are good other than a chip from the bottom of the right grip. The markings are as new, the action is perfect, the bore is bright and shinny.

The holster with this gun is from the same time period. Very rare Texas holster made by C M Cain, Tyler, Tx. The holster is a single loop floral holster with a sewn in toe. There is no damage to the holster. This holster is in very good condition. You can have it or not choose above.
