Z Sold Civil War Magic Lantern slides

These are photographs and etchings slides that were created at the time of the Civil War for the Victorian magic lantern. These include battle scenes, U. S. Grant photo portrait, General Sheridan, a hand tinted photo of a Union solder. They measures 7 inches x 4 inches. The glass measures 3 1/4 inches across. There are 6 slides, 5 are in excellent condition. One has a crack in the glass plate, but that does not effect the viewing and it is stable and does not look as though it would come apart. It is of a soldier on picket duty.
