Description

Colt, 1849, 31cal belt model, serial #191911. all numbers matching including cylinder and wedge, cylinder scene is very clear, slight traces of original blue, uncommon 6" barrel, walnut grips with 95% original varnish. Very very nice. Manufactured in 1861, .31 caliber percussion, 6 shot single action revolver, with loading lever, Weight = 27 ounces Cylinder engraved with the Stagecoach Holdup scene Markings on barrel in one line - ADDRESS COL SAML COLT U.S. AMERICA This Civil War time period 49 is in fine condition with a bore that is a shiny 10. There is very minor pitting on the cylinder, barrel and frame. The action is tight and correct. The trigger guard and back strap are well patina-ed. The excellent original grips have no chips or cracks. Very lightly written on the butt of the back strap is the name "Max Fyffe". Brigadier-General Edward P.
