The Mexican Double Loop Holster comes from the saddle shop tradition of the Old West, where leather craftsmen made practical gun leather for cowboys, ranch hands, and working men who depended on it day after day. This classic design is copied from an original in the River Junction Collection, keeping the same practical, no-nonsense craftsmanship and details found in an Old West holsters made over a century ago.
This saddle shop style holster is hand-made from the hide and finished in an antiqued brown leather that gives it the character of a piece that has spent years around the ranch. The double loop design keeps the holster secure on the belt, while the rolled border and custom flower stamp on the pouch match the details found on the original holster from over 110 years ago. Simple, unlined construction keeps the design true to its working roots, just as many Old West holsters were made.
The sewn closed toe provides a finished look while allowing the holster to be worn for either left or right-hand draw. Made to fit 1873 Colt Single Action Army revolvers and quality Colt clones with 7 1/2-inch barrels, along with Remington revolvers of the same era and properly sized Ruger Vaqueros and 1860 Colt Armies.

Each Mexican Double Loop Holster is hand cut from the hide, then tooled, dyed, oiled, and sewn at the leather craftsman's bench. Hand stitching has long been favored for quality gun leather, producing a stronger stitch than machine sewing while giving each holster its own honest character.
