Model 1877 lightning revolver .38 caliber storekeeper or sheriffs model
made with 3 ½†barrel, period nickel finish, original hard rubber grips, serial number 85565. Manufactured in 1892. The lightning
remains in very original condition with approximately 85% to 90%
original nickel remaining with just some nickel age and scratches and normal aging. The grips show that this gun was routinely carried. The back of the hammer and trigger show
bright original blue.
The cylinder pin is original and the action works fine. The bore is
bright. A prime example of an early Colt 1877 lightning revolver.
