Description

This revolver was made in Belgium for the American market in the 1880s. An interesting ANTIQUE REVOLVER in 44-40 WCF with a 5 3/8 in. barrel. It is stamped "Frontier Defender". It locks up tight, cycles, and all parts function perfectly in both double action and single action. The spur on the trigger guard is a unique feature and lets you know that this was an early version. These guns were offer by Sears Roebuck and Montgomery Wards in the 1880s.

The rear cylinder face shows the crown over "ELG" in an oval proof mark. The butt plate has a lanyard ring.  The gun is smooth with strong patches of nickel remaining throughout with fantastic gutta percha grips. The rifling is very strong with some black powder pitting.

These revolvers were carried in the Old West by many young cowboys. When Sears and Roebuck or Mongomery Wards sold  the Colt  for $14.00 and you could buy one of these for $4.00.

This is an ANTIQUE and can be shipped directly to you in the USA or internationally. Sold as an Antique ~ no guarantees, warranties, or liabilities for any actual usage. If any firearms are to be used for shooting purposes, a qualified gunsmith should inspect them first. Adult signature required upon delivery.
