RJT#5095 -

Description

Spanish Copy of a Smith & Wesson Double Action Frontier Mod.  Chambered for .44-40 Win. Caliber. It is marked "FOR 44 WINCHESTER CARTRIDGE" on the top of barrel flat. The only other marking is the word SPAIN on the butt.  The barrel measures 5 7/8 inches and has a very clean shinny shoot-able bore with strong rifling. This is a top-break, auto-eject, double action six shot revolver based on the S&W Patent Style. The double action functions perfectly, strong hammer spring and lock up , single action also works well. There is little to no pitting or rust on the gun. There is a strong 75% original blue on the gun with a smooth finish. It is Shown here with our RJT 3161 holster sold separately. The main feature is the fact that someone added original Smith & Wesson grips to the gun. They are in very good condition with no cracks or chips and are likely worth $200 on their own.  This would make an interesting addition to the Smith & Wesson collection to show the period patent infringements of the day, c1870's.  It is a piece of history that you can now own at reasonable price.   You can find these advertised in the Sears & Roebuck and Montgomery catalogs of the 1880s. We always answer questions and entertain offers.

This is an ANTIQUE and can be shipped directly to you in the USA or INTERNATIONALLY. Sold as an Antique ~ no guarantees, warranties, or liabilities for any actual usage. If any firearms are to be used for shooting purposes, a qualified gunsmith should inspect them first.
