MADE IN THE UNITED STATES of AMERICA a very early collectable, Navy Arms 1860 Henry in .44-40. This Henry was manufactured in the United States by Val Forget Jr. of Navy Arms in 1976. That was 3 years before Uberti started making them it Italy. Less than 3,000 of these USA guns were made. This one is one of only 1000 produced in the Carbine model with a 22” barrel as stated by
Andrew L. Bresnan from an e-mail he received from Val Forget. Markings are: .44-40 on the left side of the barrel and on top marked "HENRY’S PATENT OCT. 16, 1860 MANUFACTURED BY NAVY ARMS RIDGEFIELD N.J." Serial number 587 and of coarse showing no Italian marks and proofs. This is a great shooter and great collector piece. It is the second, American made Henry, the first being the originals made by New Haven Arms in 1860. The stock is beautiful American Black Walnut with oil finish. Dimensions of this Navy Arms is closer to the original than the Uberti made version.
