Full Flap Civilian Belt Holster. This holster will fit a 2 1/2 inch belt and hold your 1878 Colt 7 1/2 barrel, 1873 Colt 7 1/2 inch barrel or copy, 1875 Remington  7 1/2 inch barrel or copy, 1860 Army 8 inch barrel, 186l Navy 7 1/2 inch barrel, 1858 Remington 8 inch barrel, 185l Navy  7 1/2 inch barrel and all conversions there of. It will not fit Dragoons or Walkers. This holster is an authentic copy of the holster that was worn by civilians and often times retired or ex-Civil War soldiers. This style holster is one of the most versatile holster ever made, it carries a wide variety of arms and yet still has great styling. It gives the best protection  to your revolver and the only style that does that. These holsters are hand made from 6-7 oz leather. Lightly oiled to a natural tan or a nice black (Other Colors are available by Special Order). Sewn with yellow linen thread. Has an open toe with a full flap that closes on a brass stud. The boarder stamping and rosette stamp on the pouch were chosen to closely approximate the original. This holster is copied from an original antique holster in the River Junction Collection.
 Most all of our holster designs are made from originals we have found. The holster on the left with the array of guns is the original. These holster are crafted for River Junction by our most talented leather-smith. Each piece is hand-made for us and cut in their shop from the hide.  The piece  is worked and tooled right on the crafter's bench and all are dyed, oiled and sewn by hand. It is the hand sewing that makes for the strongest stitch much superior to the machine stitch. All that at the most favorable price.
