The barrel extension, barrel latch, rear face of the cylinder and underside of the grip frame are all marked “78600”. Barrel Length: 5”. The 5 inch barrel is the outstanding feature of this revolver. Sights / Optics: The front sight is a half round blade pinned to the barrel. The rear sight is a tiny “V” notch in the barrel latch. Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered black rubber with a diamond at the grip screw and “S&W.” in a circle at the top. Both grips are near perfect with no chips, cracks or scratches. Type of Finish: blue. Finish Originality: Professionally Refinished. Bore Condition: The bore is bright and shinny the rifling is sharp with no pitting. Overall Condition: This handgun is 100% of its current blue metal finish. We believe the handgun was restored. The checkering on the hammer, trigger and barrel latch remains excellent. The markings are perfectly clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Very Good Plus condition. Mechanics: The action functions perfectly.
