Sterling Silver Mexican Knife pin.

This dramatic little pin is an exact copy of the classic Mexican fighting knife and makes a bold statement. Marked Mexican Silver (sterling or higher purity) the pin probably dates to the early 1940s. Maybe a symbol of the revolution era. The bolster or guard is rounded and the handle is deeply incised and accentuated by oxidation. It has a secure roll-over clasp. Here you see it pictured with a vintage Scorpion bladed knife of a much earlier time.
The pin measures 3 7/8"  long and is 7/16" high. It weighs 10.8 grams. The full sized knife is not included with this purchase
