Vintage Wooden Traveling Roulette Wheel in Footed Bowl. This is a Vintage wooden bowl with a hidden
roulette wheel in the lid. This bowl is pure wood. Prohibition era lidded wooden bowl with hidden Roulette Wheel, a time when drinking and gambling were
outlawed and speakeasies were the only way people could get their vices.
Gambling devices of all sorts were hidden in common everyday objects to
easily be hidden during raids by law enforcement. This piece is a
roulette wheel set into the lid of a common bar snack bowl, to be easily
flipped over at the first sign of trouble. The bowl is all original
with original finish. Minor wear marks in wood. Roulette wheel is fully
functional. Comes with two glass ball, one tinny and the other larger. The tinny one seams to get more action. The bowl is 5 1/2 inches tall and 8 1/4 inches in diameter.
