Back when I was a kid every movie and TV cowboy packed a REAL 1892 Winchester. This one was manufactured in 1920. Serial number 915591. This Winchester 1892 rifle is marked ".25-20 WCF " The receiver is mostly brown on the right side and about 40% blue on the left side. The octagon barrel shows about 90% original blue. The action is tight and every bit as good as the day it was new. Bore is bright and shinny ready for your smokeless loads. It always amazes me how those old boys could make a better shooter than reproduction imports of today. The original sights are still in place as they should be. The wood is all original. It has one small crack in the stock that is stable and you will have to look hard to find it. Otherwise there are no chips and only very minor dings. This would look good in your saddle scabbard, or take it out and shoot it if you want to feel the thrill of yesteryear and the smell of GUNSMOKE. This is The Gun that won the West on the Silver Screen. Rifles like this were utility guns and they belong in every cowboy, lawmen, and outlaws, collection who needed the firepower of a repeating rifle without too much size and weight.
