A Victorian wooden truncheon, ( a torpedo shaped police baton) with well defined turnings. A rare shaped police billy club from the late 1800s. It is made of a hard rose wood and the weight indicates it is lead loaded. This club is dense and heavy and would surely put you down. Includes a new cord and tassel for dress parade use. This club has a chip on the top turn, otherwise in very nice condition. 14 1/2 inches long, with the wool cord and tassel measuring 10” long. Weight of 1 pound. A dark professionally baton made for police use. Other items shown here are not included.
