This is a 1978 produced, Colt Single Action Army Revolver, with 5 1/2 inch barrel in .45 Long Colt caliber. The Serial number is 99378SA. Overall condition is very good smooth. Metal show 90% original blue, with Case Color beginning to fade. Bore is bright and shinny, rifling is strong, lands and grooves are sharp. The grips are custom jig bone and show no cracks or breaks. These grips provide a very positive hold and show an old west frontier look. River Junction offers this grip on our website at $349.95. Here you get them with the SAA. The original grips have long disappeared. The action is crisp and mechanically perfect and tight. This gun has seen use but was well cared for. Screws are all clean and original. This 48 year old gun shows use but stand ready to provide a century of serves yet. The top of the barrel reads COLT’S PTFA MFG CO. HARTFORD CT. USA. On the left side COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45.
