Antique walking stick. I date it at mid-19th century. The handle is deer antler with the expertly engraved initials "C. B" on the blunt forward portion of the handle. It has a white metal band at the neck. The shaft is long with overall measurement of the walking stick being 33 1/2 inches. The shaft shows the nicks, dings and perhaps bites speaking loudly of its many year of service, though it has no breaks or cracks and stands ready to provide a century more. It has a painted on maple color, with the white metal ferrule in silver color and has a solid metal tip.
Over all, this walking stick has a wonderful patina and is in original condition and would make a great addition to any collection or wardrobe. Showing the signs of been there done that !!
