Spanish Copy of a Smith & Wesson Double Action Mod. Chambered for .44 Russian Caliber. See photos for all markings. The barrel measures 3 7/8 inches and has a very clean shinny shoot-able bore with strong rifling. This is a top-break, auto-eject, double action six shot revolver based on the S&W Patent Style. The double action functions perfectly, strong hammer spring and lock up , single action also works well. There is no pitting or rust on the gun. The nickel finish is all most 100%. The main feature of this gun, is the engraving and the original Ivory grips. The grips are in very good condition with no cracks or chips and are worth $600+ on their own. This would make an interesting addition to the Smith & Wesson collection to show the period patent infringements of the day, c1880's. It is a piece of history that you can now own. You can find these advertised in the Sears & Roebuck and Montgomery catalogs of the 1880s. We always answer questions and entertain offers.
