Vintage late 1950s to early 1960s Windward Outdoor Wear MACKINAW Shadow Plaid Belted COAT / JACKET size XL was made for exclusively for Montgomery Wards.

The style is reminiscent of the Mackinaw coat that was popular in the 1800s. The Mackinaw was a utilitarian style made for work and warmth. Variations of it can still be found.

This Mackinaw is made with a 100% Wool Shell in a very handsome Blue Shadow Plaid, and has a Quilted Satin lining. With 2 breast pockets and 2 waist pockets, there are plenty of places to keep your items. The coat is Double Breasted and has a belted back.

There are a couple of small holes in and the cuffs are a bit worn, but this Coat is still in great shape and could give many more years of warmth on cold winter days.
