“The Old Bar Dogs Friend”
In the Old West Bartenders were like the captain of a ship, he has the
power to set the rules of the saloon and the responsibility to enforce
them.
The old bar barkeep liked these cut down shotguns for their quick action
in tight quarters, and were most often used as a club rather than a
firearm. Both uses would provide equal devastation. Others liked them
for their ability to easily hide under a coat. I must admit this piece
did appeal to the scoundrels of the day.
Yes, it is legal to own! It has been deactivated as a cartridge
shotgun. It is now a MUZZLE LOADING CONVERSION. That means it has no
legal length restrictions. Perfect for a re-enactor, for blank loads or
just fun shooting. Uses the 209 shotgun primer. This is a BLACKPOWDER
ONLY gun. DO NOT USE SMOKELESS POWDER. Or you could hang it in your bar
or old time saloon. Looks like the one under the Faro table in the
movie Tombstone.
The action lock up is as tight as new, and the locks both work fine. The
stock has no cracks, breaks or chips, and the stock is strong and
stable. Overall length 18 3/4 inches and weighs just under 6 lbs. This
is a 12ga. What looks like brass shotgun shells in the bore are not that
at all, but heavy duty plugs that are permanently installed in the
chamber and will accept only shotgun primers for ignition or blanks. The
loading components shown are not included.
This is a muzzle loader and can be shipped directly to you.
This can be shipped directly to you in the USA and INTERNATIONALLY.
